Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre's Memorial Garden and Spicer Healing Garden provide peaceful, natural spaces for reflection, comfort, and healing. These gardens offer a serene environment for patients, staff, and visitors to find solace and rejuvenation.
Memorial Garden
Located near the CRHCC Coffee Shop, the Memorial Garden is a special courtyard dedicated to loved ones. Contributions to the garden support its ongoing maintenance and future development, ensuring it remains a place of remembrance and tranquility. For more information about dedicating a tribute in the Memorial Garden, please contact the Foundation Office.
Spicer Healing Garden
The Holly Spicer Healing Garden was created through a generous bequest from the late Holly L. Spicer of Spencer’s Island. Situated between the Intensive Care and Palliative Care units, this beautifully designed space encourages quiet reflection and sensory awakening.
The garden features a walkabout area, a scent garden, shaded seating, and a variety of specially selected plants known for their beauty and low-allergen properties. Seasonal flowers, shrubs, and trees—including hydrangeas, magnolias, honeysuckle, and flowering crab-apple—enhance the space, providing a soothing and uplifting experience year-round.
This lasting memorial to Holly Spicer’s generosity continues to offer comfort, therapy, and serenity to all who visit.
